AEW announced earlier today that Anna Jay injured her right shoulder during training and will need surgery. She could be out of action 6-12 months. Madi Wrenkowski will replace her as an alternate in the tournament vs. Britt Baker.

The American 🇺🇸 matches are being held at Daly’s Place in Jacksonville, Florida and the Japan 🇯🇵 side is at the Ice Ribbon dojo in Saitama, Japan. Excalibur and Taz are the announcers.

Nyla Rose pinned Tay Conti with a power bomb in an American 1st Round bracket match.

Yuka Sakazaki pinned Emi Sakura with crucifix pin in a very good back and forth Japanese semifinal match. Sakura’s protégés Mei Suruga and Yuna Mizumori accompanied her to ringside dressed in Freddy Mercury/Queen regal fashion. They helped Sakura attack Sakazaki after the match. AEW Women’s Champion Hikaru Shida ran out and made the save.

Ryo Mizunami beat Aja Kong by count out. They brawled to the outside. Kong tossed her mini trash can she uses a weapon to a reluctant Hikaru Shida sitting at ringside and rammed Mizunami’s into it. Kong slowly walked back to the ring but Mizunami quickly recovered and gave her a diving leg drop outside the ring and beat the ten count for the win.

Britt Baker beat Madi Wrenkowski by submission with the lock jaw in an American 1st Round Match. Rebel helped Baker continue the attack after it was over and they drew on her face.

Baker will face Nyla Rose in an American semifinal match on AEW Dynamite this Wednesday on TNT. Thunder Rosa takes on Riho in the other American semifinal match on Sunday on Bleacher Report at 7pm EST. Sakazaki vs. Mizunami in the Japan finals will also be on the BR broadcast, plus Hikaru Shida, Mei Suruga and Rin Kadokura vs. Emi Sakura, Maki Itoh, and Veny.
