All Japan Pro Wrestling Results 1/23/22: Triple Crown Title Tournament Finals

 


AJPW “New Year Wars 2022” (Day 3) results from Tokyo, Japan 🇯🇵 at Korakuen Hall on 1/23/22 live on GAORA TV: 

Kento Miyahara pinned Suwama with an inside cradle in a Triple Crown Title Tournament Semifinal Match in 11:28.

Ryuki Honda pinned Shotaro Ashino with the final vent in Triple Crown Title Tournament Semifinal Match in 9:15.

Shuji Ishikawa, Takao Omori, Black Mensore, Ryo Inoue, and Andy Wu beat Shigehiro Irie, Dan Tamura, Takato Nakano, Kazumasa Yoshida, and Ren Ayabe when Yu pinned Tamura with a Yoshitonic in 9:04 while everyone else in the match were brawling down on the floor.

Koji Doi and Kuma Arashi beat Yuma Aoyagi and Atsuki Aoyagi when Doi pinned Aoyagi after the Murder Lariat in 8:33. 

Yoshitatsu went to a No Contest with Baliyan Akki, Takayuki Ueki, and Seigo Tachibana in a 1 vs. 3 Match in 5:53. The heels kept beating on Yoshitatsu then bullied the referee out of the ring.

All Asian Tag Team Champions Yusuke Kodama and Hokuto Omori beat Devil Murasaki and Izanagi when Omori pinned Murasaki after a driver in 8:35 while Kodama and Izanagi were brawling up in the balcony area. Kodama tied Izanagi’s arm to the balcony railing.

AJPW World Junior Heavyweight Champion SUGI pinned Rising HAYATO after the springboard Swan Dive Firebird Splash in 12:19. Andy Wu will be the next challenger on 2/5/22 in Osaka.

Kento Miyahara pinned Ryuki Honda with his Shutdown German Suplex finisher to win the Triple Crown Tournament Finals and the vacant title in 23:03. Abdullah Kobayashi came out to challenge after the match for the show back at Korakuen on 2/23/22. The title was vacated at the end of December when champion Jake Lee was injured in match against Ryuki Honda on 12/26/21 while successfully retaining the title.
