Identity Of Jade Cargill's Challengers On AEW Rampage Last Night

 

On this week's episode of AEW Rampage (taped after AEW Dynamite in Austin, Texas on 5/17/23), TBS Champion Jade Cargill faced two different challengers before getting attacked by Taya Valkyrie.

First up was Danni Bee, the current Hurricane Pro Wrestling Women's Champion and the current Ultimate Women of Wrestling Nevada State Champion. Cargill pinned Bee after a pump kick in 37 seconds. 

A woman named Genesis came out next to face Cargill after Mark Sterling got on the mic made an Open Challenge on behalf of Cargill. Cargill pinned her after the Jaded in 31 seconds. There was some confusion about who this woman was in the results given to various pro wrestling media outlets including this one. It was erroneously reported that this challenger was current Mission Pro Wrestling Champion Jennacide. A few other reports we saw said the person was Genesis (Selena O' Sullivan) from the Exodus heel stable in WOW- Women of Wrestling. This Genesis is current Rhodes Wrestling Academy Women's Champion Harley Jane. We have covered her matches in RWA in the past. The story the AEW announces told about her suffering a stroke a few years ago at age 19 is 100% true. She is a miraculous story in pro wrestling and in life. She had to learn how to walk and talk all over again. We always try to be unbiased on W.W.D. but Jane is someone that we root for.
